The authorities of Kazakhstan canceled the study of three languages ​​at the same time for first class students with the new school year. This was reported by Minister of Education Askhat Aimagambetov.

Previously, school children in Kazakhstan started with the first grade to learn three languages: Russian, Kazakh and English.

According to the official, from the first year, children will only learn Kazakh, because in order to learn Russian and English, they must first learn to read and write in their native language. He noted that it is difficult for first graders to learn three languages ​​at once. “With the second class, the study of the Russian language will begin, as a separate discipline, and with the third class, the English language will be studied for all schools,” Aimagambetov said at the government meeting on Tuesday.

At the same time, two subjects – Russian and Kazakh – will remain in the curriculum for first- and second-grade students studying Russian, and English children will also start studying in the third grade, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported. Education of Kazakhstan.
