The 20th edition of the Russian Education Fair, 2022, organized by the Russian Center of Science and Culture in association with Study Abroad Educational Consultants will be held on July 28 in Madurai.

Ahead of the education fair, representatives speaking to the media here on Monday said 14 Russian universities, recognized by India’s National Medical Commission, would take part in the fair.

C. Suresh Babu, Director of Study Abroad Educational Consultants, said the fair will eliminate middlemen as parents and children can directly clarify doubts about fee structure, hostel facilities, etc., with the representatives. of the University. Universities were to provide one-time admissions for MBBS and engineering courses.

Interested applicants, who have passed the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) and have a minimum of 50% marks in the relevant core subjects/degrees and 40% marks in the case of SC students/ ST and OBC, can apply for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. in medicine in Russia.

Mr Babu said all classes were also open to Tamil middle school students. “We would offer a pre-departure language course, one month before the start of the school year. We have had many students from these backgrounds who do well.

Timur Akhamatov, deputy dean of foreign student education, senior lecturer (department of pathology) at Kazan State Medical University, told reporters that since Indo-Russian relations have remained strong, Indian students have always enjoyed special attention over the past 60 years.

In addition, Mr. Babu said that students who recently returned from Ukraine to India can join any institution in Russia at the same fees they had paid before. Special places had been reserved for students who asked to resume their studies from the semester they had had to interrupt. The territorial dispute was far from the main cities of Russia, and the education front remained unchanged.

The entry-free fair will be open between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. at The Madurai Residency.
