TS will host the Russian Education Fair

Hyderabad The Russian Center for Science and Culture (Cultural Department of the Russian Consulate in South India), in association with Study Abroad Educational Consultants, the Indian Authorized Representative for Russian Universities, is organizing the Russian Education Fair 2022 in Hyderabad and Warangal on 11 and 12 September 2022. The show will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and admission is free.

The 20th edition of the fair will represent Russian medical and engineering universities at Green Park Hotel, Hyderabad on September 11 and City Grand Hotel, Warangal on September 12. For more details on the programs and the fair, students can contact 92822 21221 / 99511 77044.

The list of universities represented at the education fair includes; Volgograd State Medical University, Kazan State Medical University, Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University, MEPhI Moscow National Nuclear Research University, Kursk State Medical University and Moscow Aviation Institute.

The Russian center said that medicine is the most popular discipline preferred, especially by Indian students. More than 70 Russian universities offer a medical degree, equivalent to MBBS in India. These universities are recognized by the National Medical Commission of India and are listed in the World Health Organization Directory of Medical Schools. Every year, about 3,500 to 4,000 Indians join Russian medical universities where there are currently about 20,000 Indian students.

Eligible students are Indian students who have passed the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) and have a minimum of 50% marks in the relevant basic subjects/degrees (in the case of SC/ST students and OBC, minimum marks are 40 percent), can apply for undergraduate and postgraduate medical programs in Russia. There are no pre-qualification exams like CET, IELTS, for admissions to universities in Russia. Depending on the university and location of study, course fees can range from $3,500 to $6,000 per year for English courses.

The Russian government scholarship program offers foreign citizens the opportunity to receive 100% free education, under which 100 scholarships are offered to Indian students every year. Bachelor’s, master’s, specialization and postgraduate programs are available as scholarships at leading Russian universities. Eligible students can apply for the scholarship program.

The cost of higher education is relatively cheaper as it is heavily subsidized by the government of the Russian Federation. Universities also provide assistance as many have special accommodation programs and support systems for Indian students.

Russia has more than 3 lakh foreign students from 200 different countries studying in its approximately 600 government universities. In recent years, the number of Russian higher education institutions in world education rankings has increased significantly.

Russian higher medical education institutions are recognized worldwide and enjoy high rankings. Russia has produced internationally renowned doctors and scientists. Russia was the first country to offer a vaccine against Covid19 (Sputnik V). Many famous doctors around the world have studied in Russia. Nearly 75,000 Russian-trained doctors practice in India. All Russian medical universities are recognized by the National Medical Commission of India.
