UPL club fined for Russian language
FTC UAF fined Veres for violating a regulatory clause requiring language. The violation was recorded after the Premier League Matchday 17 match Veres – Dynamo.
The amount of the fine was not communicated. We only know that the decision of the FTC UAF is not subject to appeal.
In addition, Veres said that now all Veres representatives will give interviews and media commentary only in Ukrainian.
âFrom now on, representatives of the Veres People’s Club will give interviews and commentaries to the media only in Ukrainian. For football players or other club employees who do not speak the official language at a sufficient level, in their opinion, the club is ready to organize courses on learning Ukrainian â, – said in the service club press release.
At the same time, Veres notes that this ruling does not apply to club representatives who are citizens of other states.
Dynamo punished by the FTC
- The FTC also looked into the case regarding demonstrations of racism by Dynamo supporters during the game against Vorskla on November 6. In this case, the Kiev club were fined 250,000 hryvnias and a home game without conditional supporters. Trial period – until the end of this UPL season.
- Dynamo was fined another UAH 50,000 for banners of fans who insulted opponents in the October game against Shakhtar. The Donetsk club were also fined 50,000 hryvnia for a similar violation by Pitmen fans.
- Another 50,000 hryvnia, the Kievans have to pay for the incorrect statements of the assistant to the head coach of Dynamo Emil Karas in the direction of the head referee of the match with Mariupol. Referee Vitaly Romanov worked during this meeting.
